If you have access to the workspace you can manually check the current status of an Envelope in a few different ways. See here for more details.
To automate the checking a Power automate action Envelope - Get Status can be used within a flow. A simple usage example is shown below.
Before you Begin
This tutorial directly follows the one described here.
Therefore this tutorial assumes you have a flow that achieves similar to the below that you wish to add monitoring onto.
The Flow
Add a 'Do until' to the end of the flow. Due to the nature of this part of the flow it may take several days to complete I have assumed signing of an individual envelope will complete within 7 days and have set the timeout to reflect this.
The Timeout value uses ISO formatting.
P = Period
T = Time
7D = 7 days
I have left the count as the default of 60 (this is the iteration limit) you may need to change this if you use a different Timeout period or a different delay (explained below)
Within the 'Do Until' add a delay.
I have set this to 24hours so this piece will run approximately a day after the Envelope was first created.
This can be adjusted to give more or less time but please be aware that to prevent throttling it should be longer than 1 hour.
Directly after the delay and still within the Do until add 'Envelope - Get Status'.
Envelope ID is passed through via the dynamic content of Envelope - Sign Single File.
Finally add 'Send an Email'
The email notification has been designed to provide an at-a-glance update on the Envelope's status. The Envelope name and current status are included in the subject line, allowing recipients to quickly check progress directly from their inbox without opening the email.
As all relevant information is included in the subject line, the email body contains only a placeholder to satisfy Power Automate's mandatory field requirement.
Final flow
If you have followed the two tutorials your final flow will look like
Running the flow.
Save your flow and add a document containing the required signature field to your selected Sharepoint folder.
After a few moments, Power Automate should trigger the flow, create a signing envelope and send a signature request to your designated recipient.
The flow will then start to loop, commencing with the first delay. If you used the settings above the email recipient will receive an email approximately 1 day after the flow was started and then every day until either the status in Complete (all signatures have been complete) or 7 Days (the timeout limit)
