Requesting for Word – Compare to support comparing a .dotm template containing macros with a .docx document, regardless of which file is supplied first.
Currently, this comparison completes when the .docx is supplied first, but not when the macro-enabled .dotm is supplied first. Supporting both orders would allow users to preserve the intended direction of the comparison, so additions and deletions are shown correctly.
This would also remove the need to convert the .dotm template to .docx before comparing. Templates without macros already support comparison in either order.
