Create Barcode

The 'Create Barcode' action generates a barcode image file aligned to the configuration options supplied.

Initial Parameter

The initial 'Create Barcode' flow action parameter is as detailed below:

  • Barcode Type: Select the barcode type which should be created.

Default Parameters

The default and advanced parameters change relating to the type of barcode which has been selected. The following provides an example for the EAN13 barcode type.

The default 'Create Barcode' flow action parameters for the EAN13 barcode type are detailed below:

  • Barcode Data: The string value used to generate the barcode
  • Image Format: The format of the barcode image generated.
  • Caption Above: Set the caption above the barcode.
  • Caption Below: Set the caption below the barcode.

Advanced Parameters

The advanced 'Create QR Code' flow action parameters are detailed below:

  • Supplement Data: Set the supplement data that follows the barcode
  • Supplement Space: Set the space between the main barcode and supplement barcode
  • Size Mode: Set the barcode auto-sizing mode
  • Height: Set the barcode height (pixels).
  • Width: Set the barcode width (pixels)
  • Back Color: Set the barcode back color of the barcode. (HTML color format)
  • Bar Height: Set the height of the barcode bars (pixels)
  • Bar Color: Set the color of the barcode bars (HTML color format).
  • Filled Bars: Set whether the barcode bars are filled.
  • Border Color: Set the barcode border color (HTML color format)
  • Border Style: Set the barcode code border style
  • Border Visible: Set whether the barcode border is visible or not
  • Border Width: Set the width of the barcode border (pixels)
  • Padding Bottom: Set the bottom padding of the barcode (pixels)
  • Padding Top: Set the top padding of the barcode (pixels)
  • Padding Left: Set the left padding of the barcode (pixels)
  • Padding Right: Set the right padding of the barcode (pixels)
  • Resolution: Set the barcode code border image resolution (dpi)
  • Rotation Angle: Set the barcode rotation angle measure in degrees, for best results use 0, 90, 180 or 270.
  • X Dimension: Set the minimum width of the barcode bars (pixels)
  • Caption Above Font: Set the font for the caption above the barcode
  • Caption Above Font Size: Set the size of the font applied to the caption text above the barcode
  • Caption Above Font Color: Set the color of the font applied to the caption text above the barcode
  • Caption Above Font Style: Set the style of the font applied to the caption text above the barcode
  • Caption Above Alignment: Set the alignment of the font applied to the caption text above the barcode
  • Caption Below Font: Set the font for the caption below the barcode
  • Caption Below Font Size: Set the size of the font applied to the caption text below the barcode
  • Caption Below Font Color: Set the color of the font applied to the caption text below the barcode
  • Caption Below Font Style: Set the style of the font applied to the caption text below the barcode
  • Caption Below Alignment: Set the alignment of the font applied to the caption text below the barcode

Return Parameters

The 'Create Barcode' flow action returns the following data. 

Action Specific Return Values

  • Filename - An automatically generated filename.
  • FileContent - A base64 string representation of the barcode image file.

Standard Return Values

  • OperationId - The unique ID assigned to this operation
  • HttpStatusCode - The HTTP Status code for the response
  • HttpStatusMessage - The HTTP Status message for the response
  • Errors - An array of error messages should an error occur
  • Operation Status - Indicates whether the operation has been completed, has been queued or has failed
