Power Automate Connector: Encodian – Word

Overview

The 'Word - Add Page Numbers' action for Power Automate enables page numbers to be added to the document provided according to the set specification. 

Input File Types

The following file types are supported:

• DOC
• DOT
• DOCM
• DOCX
• DOTM
• DOTX

Credit Count

This action consumes 1 credit per operation.

Note, different Encodian actions can consume different numbers of credits. Please always check the action-specific documentation and read What is an Encodian Action for a full description of how credits are consumed.

Default Options

The default 'Word - Add Page Numbers' flow action parameters are detailed below:

• Filename: The filename of the source Microsoft Word file, the file extension is mandatory: 'file.docx' and not 'file'.
• File Content: A Base64 encoded representation of the Word file to be processed.
• Format: Set the format of the page number(s) added to the document, where [PageNumber] is replaced by the current page number and [TotalPages] is replaced by the total number of pages
• Location: Set the location of the page numbers (Header or Footer)
• Alignment: Set the alignment of the page number
• Font Color: Leave blank to inherit or set a specific font color using an HTML color code, for example: #000000
• Font Name: Set a specific font or leave blank to inherit
• Font Size: Set a specific font size or leave blank to inherit
• Style: Set the style to use for the page number

• Skip First Page: Set whether to skip adding the page number field to the first page of the document

Advanced Parameters

The advanced 'Word - Add Page Numbers' flow action parameters are detailed below:

• Section Index: Set the index of the Word section to add the 'Page Numbers' to
• Section Numbering: Set whether to base the total page number per section or per document
• Starting Page Number: Set the number to start page numbering from, only applies when a specific 'Section Index' has been provided
• Culture Name: This setting is used to set the culture for processing the request. Please refer to the Culture Names article for a list of supported cultures

Return Parameters

The 'Word - Add Page Numbers' flow action returns the following data. 

Action Specific Return Values

• Filename - the Word document filename
• File Content - The processed Word document (Base64)

Standard Return Values

• OperationId - The unique ID assigned to this operation.
• HttpStatusCode - The HTTP Status code for the response.
• HttpStatusMessage - The HTTP Status message for the response.
• Errors - An array of error messages should an error occur.
• Operation Status - Indicates whether the operation has been completed, has been queued or has failed.
