There are multiple options for installing Encodian Vertr. This article covers deploying the Encodian Vertr app so that it is available to but not automatically installed to all SharePoint Online sites.
The user installing Encodian Vertr will require the following permissions:
- SharePoint Administrator (Microsoft 365 Admin Role)
- Right to 'Grant Admin Consent' for Enterprise Applications within Azure AD
Enable the Encodian Vertr App within your Microsoft 365 Tenant
1. Navigate to the SharePoint Admin Center by entering the following URL in your browser. Replace yourtenantprefix with your Microsoft 365 tenant prefix.

2. In the left sidebar, select More features
3. Locate the section Apps and select Open.
4. Click 'SharePoint Store'
5. Click 'Upload', add the 'Vertr.sppkg' app package
6. Select 'Only enable this app', Click 'Enable App'
7. Click 'Go to API access page' to enable the requested permissions
8.a. Select each request for Encodian Vertr and click 'Approve'
NOTE: It is common for some Microsoft Graph permissions to have been previously approved, and therefore approval may not be requested.
8.b. Click 'Approve'
8.c. To approve requested permissions, select 'Consent on behalf of your organisation', click 'Accept'
8.d. Confirm the logged in account or change as needed
8.e. Click 'Accept'
8.f. Close the window
9. Navigate back to the 'Apps' section of SharePoint central administration (As per step #3). The Encodian Vertr app package will have been enabled, but not added to all sites.
Add the Encodian Vertr App to a specific SharePoint Site
1. Navigate to the target SharePoint site
2. Click 'Site contents'
3. Click 'New', Click 'App'
4. Click 'Add' on the Encodian Vertr app
5. The app will be added and visible on your 'Site contents page'
6. The Encodian Vertr app will be available within your SharePoint site
